From the very start when he came out to my home to talk about the basement waterproofing needed in my home to the numerous times I called him with follow up questions and concerns after signing the contract for Perma-Seal to do the job. John was always available and reassuring. He took the time with me and explained things very well for me to understand. He never was pushy with me. Manny came out to my home and did a jet cleaning of my sewer line from the sewer stack in my basement out to the street. He was able to come out to my home the very next day after another Perma-Seal plumber called him the day before. Manny got right to work after arriving and completed the work in a very efficient manner. Manny showed me the pipe after cleaning it out using the attached camera device. He explained everything in a way that I could understand. I feel reassured and much better educated about this important part of our old home.

I want to thank Crew Chief Guillermo for all of his hard work on waterproofing our basement. He and his crew worked very hard over the two days they were here. Guillermo kept me informed of the progress of the work being done. He was patient and gave me his time for me to ask questions and raise any concerns I had along the way. He and his crew were professional in the way they worked. He and his crew were respectful of my property and cleaned up well after finishing their work. My wife and I are now feeling relieved that we will finally have a dry basement! Thank you.

Perma-Seal came in today and gave me an estimate on some fixes that were needed for my home. I was shown step by step with a few videos what typically causes damage to a home, that damage had already happened to my home and what could be done to fix the problems. I feel confident moving forward with my decision to use Perma-Seal that the job will be done and addressed correctly.

Dick did a Phenomenal Job of explaining everything very well.

In this day and age of “lack of customer service” – I found this young man to be very kind, knowledgeable, and extremely polite. I will admit to have met with several other businesses regarding this problem – but your young man impressed me the most!!. I think what I appreciated was the respect I was shown. Believe me, even in this day and age, some people forget that women have brains. We even got the right to vote!! ha ha. Chris will go far and he represents you and your company very very well. I’m sorry I won’t be able to do business with you, due to a warranty issue ( which I totally understand) but I did want to let you know you were well represented!! Even tho I couldn’t use you – I will recommend your company to my friends should they have issues in the future.

Cecil came out to see us today and was an absolute gem! Our house is sloping/slanted, and we’ve had several people out to look at it. Generally, they’ve all said things like, “you’ve got an old house – they just do this,” or otherwise trying to tell us it’s acceptable or not an issue. Cecil, on the other hand, actually took out some tools and measured! He had a laser level; he called a colleague for a second opinion and explained the process to us if we decide to go forward. More than anything, I trust Cecil. It’s easy enough to find someone who has the ‘technical chops’, but to find someone you trust, that’s quite a bit rarer in my experience.

My husband and I entered into a contract to purchase a 1922 Chicago bungalow. We and our real estate agent were concerned because we all saw what we thought might be evidence of water seepage, and we did not know if it was present or past. Our home inspector found six foundation cracks in the basement but ultimately did not make much of it and suggested an additional gutter drain spout and grading dirt away from the foundation. We were not comfortable with our inspector’s recommendations and contacted Perma-Seal. The homeowners were very strict about accessing the house. Michael Kulis made sure to accommodate the homeowners’ requirements, arrived on time, and immediately got to work. He was very thorough, as well as being informative throughout. Ultimately Michael found eleven foundation cracks as well as evidence of past water seepage and present infiltration. He prepared three proposals to remedy the problems and, because we intended to live in the house for years to come, we chose the middle proposal to set our minds at ease for the future. We presented a request to the sellers for a credit at closing which would enable us to have Perma-Seal correct the foundation problems after closing, but the sellers refused and we were able to get out of the contract. Thank you, Michael Kulis, for your professionalism and thoroughness. We were able to avoid some real unwanted problems.

I would like to recognize the hard work and dedication of Lisa Kapoun and John Ferguson. Their willingness to put in the extra effort to assist with my foundation repair project was unmatched. Lisa had to complete a ton of paperwork to satisfy the lender needs for this real estate deal. John would return phone calls on Sundays, even respond on Father’s Day. John put everyone at ease with his knowledge and easy to understand explanation of the project. Lisa and John gave me as a seller great confidence in PermaSeal. In turn, they gave our buyer an equal amount of confidence in moving forward. I’m convinced the sale of the property would not have happened without Lisa and John at the helm. I am forever grateful to these two PermaSeal employees and will recommend their services to any and all in the future.

Prior to today’s appointment I received a mailing from Perma-seal that provided details of the various issues that a home can experience, some of which I learned listening to Roy Spencer on WGN radio shows. I was sent email reminders of my appt which even included a reminder to ask about current discounts!
Met with Jim Gannon who did a thorough inspection of my home’s foundation and brick issues as well as rerouting gutter drainage. Jim was respectful of my time as a caregiver and provided me with his findings and recommendations, including video examples of the work to make sure all of my questions were answered. I look forward to having the work completed knowing the improvements will only add to the value of my home for years to come. (and provide another 5 stars afterward)

Mike Kulis did a great job in evaluating the issues with the cracks in the foundation. Mike took all the time needed to answer any questions or concerns i had about the repairs. Mike offered his best advise on going forward with the repairs. He gave me a quote that day and we agreed on a price and a start date for the repairs. Mikes knowledge of the service offered by Perma-Seal made the decision easy. Highly recommended

I got an estimate for a new sump pump system and drain tiles from Mike K. He did a great job explaining everything to me and answering the hundreds of questions I had. He is very knowledgeable about a number of different solutions to keeping our home dry.

Nick D., Perma-Seal Rep, came to my home today to inspect my sump pump system that was causing my yard to flood. He came to my home on time, introduced himself with a smile and took his boots off outside so not to drag dirt through my home. He checked out all the issues, explained what repairs they would do, showed pictures (not drawings) of how the work would be done, explained everything in the contract and set up an appointment including a request to do the work as soon as possible. This was a follow up device call to correct an earlier oversight. We also added replacement of the cover.Doug’s call to advise timing of his visit was as promised. He was not aware of the replacement cover need but went the extra mile to get it done. He also put everything back in place and insured there were no leaks. Outstanding detail to everything – we’ll be requesting him to return whenever we need service.

Thanking Gene for the recent maintenance with our Perma Seal-there has been a foul smell coming from the pump area and he had cleaned it thorouhly and was like a freshly chlorined basement we have now -and gave us information on how to keep it smelling good all the time.

Pedro and his crew were extremely professional, courteous, punctual and did a wonderful job from start to finish. Took care to protect inside area to prevent damage to floors and surrounding areas while removing and replacing dirt and other materials. Left the areas inside and outside patio free of debris. Definitely will recommend Permaseal and their employees to friends and neighbors.
