Jack Mann (Sales) from Perma Seal came out. Reviewed my situation trying to get my disabled son off the lift. Getting stuck, sidewalk extremely unleveled . Extremely difficult to maneuver my son. After the repairs . I am able to move my son in his wheelchair without any more issues.

Antonio was great. Very polite and friendly, identified the issue quickly and made the quick repair necessary to prevent the warning messages I was receiving. Explained the issue to me and told me what to do if anything similar happens again.

We had our sump pump and back up pump replaced by Manuel and Zeke on October 30, 2025. The work also included digging a bigger hole for a new and bigger pit/liner tub. The guys were punctual, worked quickly and did a great job. Personally, they were very nice and friendly. We’ve been using Perma-Seal for many, many years updating our sump pumps, having our crawlspace encapsulated with a Clean Space system which included the Basement Defender monitoring system app – a terrific tool. We appreciate Perma-Seal and always recommend to other people.

Unfortunately we couldn’t find what might have been making the musty smell, but Antonio was pleasant and explained things well and made a few suggestions as to how we could get better performance from some of our sump pumps.

Jim G. came out and did a great job. Called for one crack that I saw after we had drywall opened from a flood and Jim found 5 additional cracks that were leaking. And also gave recommendations on sump upgrades and underground extensions to keep water away from house.

Antonio did an excellent job explaining all of our options. Once the pump was installed, he showed me how to run a test. He showed me an alternative way to plug it in also. While we did not opt to go with the Wi-Fi back up plan at this point, he offered to come back and hook it up if we changed our mind. Antonio was very professional and personable

I was impressed because I called the company because of moisture in my home (e.g. floor) sometime during the fall/winter. I was instructed to call Permaseal by a friend, which I did. Well, I have no basement. Nevertheless Chris went the extra mile, by inspecting the perimeter of my home and asking if I had a crawl space. He was able to determine yes (that wasn’t easy), and I wasn’t able to find access to it. He was so patient and pleasant. All of what he did and said exemplified excellent customer service. Perma-Seal came in today and gave me an estimate on some fixes that were needed for my home. I was shown step by step with a few videos what typically causes damage to a home, that damage had already happened to my home and what could be done to fix the problems. I feel confident moving forward with my decision to use Perma-Seal that the job will be done and addressed correctly.

Cecil came out to see us today and was an absolute gem! Our house is sloping/slanted, and we’ve had several people out to look at it. Generally, they’ve all said things like, “you’ve got an old house – they just do this,” or otherwise trying to tell us it’s acceptable or not an issue. Cecil, on the other hand, actually took out some tools and measured! He had a laser level; he called a colleague for a second opinion and explained the process to us if we decide to go forward. More than anything, I trust Cecil. It’s easy enough to find someone who has the ‘technical chops’, but to find someone you trust, that’s quite a bit rarer in my experience.

My husband and I entered into a contract to purchase a 1922 Chicago bungalow. We and our real estate agent were concerned because we all saw what we thought might be evidence of water seepage, and we did not know if it was present or past. Our home inspector found six foundation cracks in the basement but ultimately did not make much of it and suggested an additional gutter drain spout and grading dirt away from the foundation. We were not comfortable with our inspector’s recommendations and contacted Perma-Seal. The homeowners were very strict about accessing the house. Michael Kulis made sure to accommodate the homeowners’ requirements, arrived on time, and immediately got to work. He was very thorough, as well as being informative throughout. Ultimately Michael found eleven foundation cracks as well as evidence of past water seepage and present infiltration. He prepared three proposals to remedy the problems and, because we intended to live in the house for years to come, we chose the middle proposal to set our minds at ease for the future. We presented a request to the sellers for a credit at closing which would enable us to have Perma-Seal correct the foundation problems after closing, but the sellers refused and we were able to get out of the contract. Thank you, Michael Kulis, for your professionalism and thoroughness. We were able to avoid some real unwanted problems.

Tom came to check out our current sump pump situation and presented me with some hood options for upgrading our sump pump situation and giving us more peace of mind about staying flood free in our new home.

Nick provided comprehensive background about how a back up sump pump would meet our needs. Ramon installed the back up sump pump. He kept me informed about what he would do, how the system works, and advised me well on what next steps to take for setting up the Basement Defender. Overall, they both provided a great service.

The team of Perma-Seal employees who oversaw and completed this project were impressive from start to finish. After visiting my home they explained in great detail what had to be done to prevent water and sewer backups from heavy storms. The staff scheduled and kept all appointments needed to plan the actual work, started it on the promised date and finished the many steps involved in the scheduled three days. And the company provides post project services when needed. I look forward to flood free days.

On Aug 3,2022, had the sump pump installed along with all the plumbing. I talked to Lisa to confirm everything. The job turned out so great! The crew did a excellent job especially refinishing the concrete. Everyone I talked to was helpful and took time to answer all questions.

I contacted Perma-Seal to evaluate my existing sump pump. Robert came out and was professional, punctual and educating. I had several questions for Robert throughout the evaluation and he took the time to show me what was causing my sump pump issues and how Perma-Seal could fix my problem. He provided several options and allowed for me to choose which one was best. Unlike other contractors, Robert was not a pushy salesman. He is a genuine professional who puts more emphasis on solving his customer's problems than trying to make a quick sale. About a week after the evaluation, a technician came out to my home and replaced my existing sump pump with a new primary and battery backup pump. The technician also addressed my concerns of a loud noise coming from the discharge pipe rubbing against the underside of my floor joists. The technician installed bumpers and padding along the underside of my floor joists to reduce the vibration and noise. This was not within the scope of work; however, the technician wanted to make sure the job was done right and left me a satisfied customer. My pumps were installed in January 2012 and they have been working great. Based on my experience with Perma-Seal, I have referred them to two of my friends and had additional work performed this year by them at my home.

Mike Kulis did a great job in evaluating the issues with the cracks in the foundation. Mike took all the time needed to answer any questions or concerns i had about the repairs. Mike offered his best advise on going forward with the repairs. He gave me a quote that day and we agreed on a price and a start date for the repairs. Mikes knowledge of the service offered by Perma-Seal made the decision easy. Highly recommended

Hugo Morales who is a Perma-Seal crew chief was supersonically competent to accomplish this project. The two man team was exactly on time to start the job and they worked continuously and efficiently. Their work effort was efficient and successful.

Perma Seal technician(Daniel Biker) called before hand and said he was on his way. Arrived on time, was polite, cordial and answered my questions.. Tested old pump, needed new, flushed and stated new pump was installed and working great. Replaced the new pump & battery backup in timely manner and same day, no waiting.. would recommend Perma Seal.. May be a little pricier than some other companies but they know what they are doing and do it well.. My old pump was from Perma Seal and lasted almost 20 years..
