Alejandro Lopez is an excellent technician, who repaired our problem with our backup pump, which needed drilling of a hole next to the pipe in our backup pump to prevent an air lock in the system. Alex was very courteous, helpful and professional in working with us to solve this problem.

From beginning to end this has been a wonderful experience…Ken and his survey of the problem and estimate (see my previous review for Ken Allan Laundie) to Lisa Kapun and her help navigating the execution of documents, scheduling and financing and then finally the fantastic crew that did the installation. Pedro the crew chief was very considerate, punctual, called ahead of time of arrival, explained what was to be done on the days they would be there, kept me informed and answered all of my questions. Manny, the electrician was fantastic…he was punctual as well, did not rush the job, he assessed the situation, came up with a plan, explained the process, was clean and tidy in my home and did a terrific job. He explained everything when he was done, showed me how everything worked and gave me parting instruction. The whole crew was friendly, tidy, hard-working, respectful of my home and property and did their best to leave my yard in almost the same way as they found it…which is kinda hard to do when you are digging up a huge whole, installing the system and then trying to fill it back up. Victor, Clemente, Marco and Usbaldo were great guys, very kind and hard working. I was amazed to watch the whole crew work together. They had a great rhythm, worked well together, it was as if they had all been working together their whole lives. I will now have a relationship with Permaseal for as long as I occupy my home and am very comfortable going forward that everyone that comes out for yearly checkups will be as professional and terrific as all these guys were. I would recommend this company to anyone especially if you want some peace of mind going forward about your basement and it staying dry.

Nick Liguras provided a thorough inspection of the trouble spots in the home and gave clear explanations of the both the problems and repair recommendations. He listened intently to the issues and offered practical solutions to address the issues upon inspection. He listened intently and addressed all of my questions in a pleasant, professional way. Our exchanges reassured me that PermaSeal could provide a workable solution.

Extremely upset and disappointed with our service. We had some water issues in our basement and were told that this was caused by hydrostatic pressure and that drain tile would 100% solve our issue, and if it didn’t, we had a lifetime guaranty covering us if we ever got water again. We had the system installed in January 2023 and it seemed to be working, but during heavy storms last weekend (September 2023) we once again got water in our newly finished basement in the same exact spots. After fighting to get someone from PermaSeal to come out a few days later (they originally told me it would be over a week before they send someone), they said that the drain tile system is working fine and that the guaranty only relates to the drain tile system working and proceeded to recommend we reach out to a plumber to see if there’s an old sewer line or pipe underneath the ground that could be causing the issue. I was shocked at the suggestion that this burden should be on us and that we should have to pay to have a plumber come out when this was never brought up as a possibility when we originally had the basement inspected and signed the contract.

So we are now sitting with water still in our basement and are probably developing mold with a newborn baby in the house and PermaSeal has taken no responsibility. We were sold a bag of goods and paid $12k for a drain tile system that did not solver our problem and now PermaSeal isn’t living up to their promise or alleged guaranty now that we actually have water and is instead claiming that there is a separate issue that was never mentioned before. If this isn’t rectified we will absolutely be leaving this review everywhere and spreading this message to friends and family in the area, as well as pursuing any available recourse.

My Basement needs waterproofing….Perma-Seal sent (DAVE) to my home to Explain what I needed to do. He was on time knowledgeable not Pushy & very professional…I’m not 100% certain but I do believe Perma-Seal will be very Hard to beat

Terrible terrible service . Four thousand dollars for one tiny wall not even the length of the house .It appears like nothing was done at all water in the same spot . Asked to talk to Supervisor in charge they refused .Please do not make the mistake I did they sent the same person back he was trying to get me to pay for another wall when there is no water . Rip -off terrible place . So sorry I went with them .

Our basement walls had mold from water damage from a burst water pipe/drain. We were concerned that water was also entering the foundation walls and floor. We called Perma-Seal,for an estimate on waterproofing the area.TONY GAGLIANO arrived promptly as promised and began a very thorough inspection which included both an exterior and interior exam. He took careful note of the water damage that we had sustained and then concluded that the water had NOT entered through the walls or flooring, but was in fact, from the pipes which had burst. He then spent another hour or so inspecting the surrounding grading, gutters, wall condition, mortar lines, etc..all areas from which water could cause future problems. He was extremely polite, thorough and professional and was not impatient with our endless questions. Based on his assurances, we were able to proceed with remediation of the damage and eventual refinish of the basement.He could have sold us an expensive repair of complete foundation excavation and sealing, drain tiles and sump pumps. Instead he provided us an honest evaluation, which resulted in zero money to Perma Seal. His inspection was free. It doesnt get anymore honest than this. I dont know the names of any other Perma-Seal,inspectors, but if I were looking for a thorough and honest evaluation, I would ask for Tony Gagliano. We thank him and apologize for the delay in providing this review.

The sales person/technician was extremely thorough and gave us tips and helpful things to do that can prevent water seapage in the basement and other problems with our foundation and drainage system. He gave us our options for fixing the problem and the cost of each option and then scheduled the work to be done. The technician who came to fix the problem was very helpful and professional and completed the job within a reasonable time and did a great job.

When I found some basement leakage near the area where I had a foundation leak sealed by Perma-Seal,last year, I called them to give me some advice. The Perma-Seal,representative determined that the leak was not from the previous foundation leak (that Perma-Seal,had repaired). However, he took the time to look more thoroughly into the problem, both inside and outside. He suggested I have the wall near the leak checked over by a tuck pointer. Long story short, tuck pointing was the perfect answer to the problem. I would never have thought of it if the Perma-Seal,representative had not checked things out so carefully and taken the time to give me some good advice.It was a great experience. The Perma-Seal,representative walked me through all of the steps I could take to solve the leak problem even though it was not a Perma-Seal,project.

After shopping around and getting three estimates on our basement wall leakage problems we decided to choose Perma-Seal. We made the right choice. Using their sealants they successfully treated the cracks in our foundation. No more leaks!! We recommend them and would and will call them again for any new problem. They also gave a life-time warranty on the work they did so should they need to come back the work will be done free of charge.

I requested an estimate for a leak in foundation. Dan McGowan came out,did a preliminary review and came back to dig out my foundation to find the crack. He only found a poor job by the previous owner in some brick work at the top of the foundation. He spent a couple of hours and would not bill me. A welcome experience with an honest contractor. I would definitely recommend Perma-Seal for giving a honest foundation repair estimate and being extremely helpful even when there was no apparent monetary gain to be had.

During the last 3 months, I have been attempting to solve a water leakage problem at my property in Chicago. It is an expensive single family home that I have been fortunate enough to rent to very nice, responsible people. Unfortunately, I have had sewer smelling water entering the lower level every time it rained. It is a finished living area. Let me tell you something, I have been rehabbing and building for 20 years. I have been a Real Estate broker for 20 as well. I tell people all the time, You can never have all three…speed, competence and price. You always have to pick two. Well, for the first time in my career, Dan McGowan gave me all three. He was fast, considerate, competent and did not try to rip me off. I also felt Steve was out for my interest every minute. This was a rare experience for me. I just wanted to let you know that you have some great employees. However you found them, I would write it down. I will always call your company first. I am also putting your numbers in my newsletter for all to see.

Throughout the entire process he exhibited and displayed his professional knowledge of basement waterproofing and foundational repair systems. He was personable, courteous and respectful of my concerns in resolving this matter in the most cost efficient way. It has been a pleasure working with Mr. Woolfolk and would recommend his services to friends and families in need of support in resolving their basement and foundational repair concerns.

Perma-seal did a full perimeter basement drainage system for us along with installing a new sump pump with back-up. all was done in the 2 days allotted by people who knew what they we doing and were able to explain why the did the thing the did. We have now gone through some really heavy rains and have been dryer the ever. Each day they were here at the time promised and cleaned up prior to leaving.

Before Perma-Seal: Every time it rained I’d get water in my basement…more rain, more water. One time when my boys were pushing the water to the sump pump hole they lifted the cover and there was a SNAKE! A couple days later…another snake!That was it. I called Perma-Seal. They came right out and explained everything I needed to fix my problems and gave me a price that really surprised me (pleasantly).They sent their workers out and all their work (and workers) were really great! Now.. no more water, no more snakes, and no more worries when it rains! I can’t say enough good things about Perma-Seal! I only wish I knew about them and how affordable they are when I owned my previous house!

Rich Betts did a terrific job diagnosing and replacing our sump pumps and battery backup systems. He arrived within the promised window and called ahead to alert us as to when he was 1/2 hour or 1 hour away. His work was professional and he went out of his way to ensure our carpeting was unblemished. His clean up was excellent. The installation went smoothly and he took care to make the wiring neat. I am completely happy with the job he did.

Vincente and Leopoldo were at our house to inspect our sump pump and also to assist us with our French drain. It needed to be raised. The gentlemen were so polite and hardworking. It was quite a lot of work to get through the roots and they did a lot of work, with no complaints. My husband and I were very happy with these hard working, polite, respectful men.

Allen was my technician for my annual sump pump system preventive maintenance. He took great care to explain the workings of the system and battery backup, and his recommendations. George was a great helpful and nonpushy salesman. Armando and guys came to do the work and did a fantastic job. We had drain tiles put around our basement and had them put another sump pump in. No more worries when it rains. No more mopping up the water either. Thank goodness for perma seal.

What a great job. My driveway looks so much better. Joaquin and his crew made a piece of art out of something really bad. The first day they came out there were problems with the equipment and they tried real hard to get it going but had to end up coming back but they made it back in 2 days and got the job done. Great communication with me & my wife so we knew what was going on. Joaquin said he treated the job like he was doing his own house and wanted it to be right. Financing was easy & quick too so from start to finish we waited 2 weeks and the job was done & paid for. I will for sure recommend Perma-Seal to anyone looking for work to be done.

Antonio Garcia did an outstanding job of performing the annual checkup on my Perma-Seal system.
As promised by the appointment scheduler, Antonio called exactly 30 minutes ahead of his arrival.

He was very tidy and thorough. He checked the interior equipment, and even the condition of our white wall covering from PermaSeal. That has never been performed before, as far as I know. He also checked the exterior equipment. He showed me the failure of the backup pump inside annd instructed me about my alternatives for replacement parts and costs. After his installation he showed me how it worked, as confirmation. He was timely and efficient.
He also explained the prepaid plan again and that it is transferrable to a new homeowner if we move away.
