Talked to Permaseal just after 8AM 5/30/2025. Around noon Gus and Johnny were here to replace what I thought was an ejector pump. Once they looked it turned out to be a sump pump. They explained the difference and why. (turns out because it only drains the washer it did not need to be a full ejector). The explained how that would reduce the price and proceeded to do a reasonably quick and efficient job and by 3PM I was washing clothes again. These 2 men were good and explained a number of things as they worked. Permaseal is 1 of 2 home service vendors I know I can trust and these 2 men are part of the reason.

We needed to have a new water leakage on the basement floor checked and Ramon Duron couldn’t have been more thorough and efficient in diagnosing and then explaining the possible causes of the leak and then checking and replacing the sump pump back-up battery and water level alarm. He is an asset to your company and will be asking for him by name for any further work. Fair pricing and a great job!

My patience paid off. The first technician Perma-Seal sent out for service didn’t seem to have a clue of what he was doing. Nothing got done, in part because I felt it best to have another technician do the work. Trusting in the reputation Perma-Seal has established for themselves, I waited it out for another technician at a later date. I was so right!!! I haven’t had a drop of leakage in my basement ever since.

Howard installed a new water heater and replaced the ejection pump. He worked professionally, answered questions, and cleaned up the work area.Manuel worked quickly repairing a crack in the basement wall. He remembered working at our home when Perma-seal installed the basement waterproofing. We have a Perma-seal preventative maintenance agreement to ensure we do not have any water problems. We have only had good experiences with the Perma-seal employees.

Allen Laundie was our technician and he was a pleasure to have working on our home. He was friendly and polite upon arrival and explained his background and expertise. He evaluated both of the sump pumps in our small condo building. When one was found to be not functioning, he was able to replace it on the spot, which was really helpful and convenient! The other, while functioning, was old, so he provided the information I needed to bring back to our small condo association to consider replacement. In addition, he revised his estimate for backup pumps down after evaluating our existing set up- when does that happen? Because of our location, the completely dry condition of our existing pumps and because we haven’t had water in the basement ever, he determined we could safely go with a smaller backup than is the usual recommendation, which would really save us money! We were unable to do the camera exam of the sewer line because of an extremely old catch basin set up, but Allen explained how we could do the exam at another time if we had access to one of the basement unit’s stacks. Allen was great to work with, polite and friendly, and provided me with a lot of valuable information. I would be happy to work with him and Perma Seal in the future!

Allen Laundie was knowledgeable and professional. He answered all of our concerns and all and all was a pleasant visit. Before he left he wanted to make sure that all of our concerns were met.

When we were considering making the repairs in our basement we were very conflicted, being concerned about not only the expense but also the time involved, the mess we would be left with, and of course that the repairs would solve the problem we had. From the time our crew chief Sergio arrived, to the time he and his crew completed the necessary repairs, we more than pleasantly surprised. Sergio was extremely knowledgeable, professional and willing to take the time to answer all of our questions. We are happy to recommend both PermaSeal and especially our crew chief Sergio along with Alex and the rest of the crew.

Prevention Maintenance on Dehumidifier installed last year and previous year waterproofing and water heater installed.

Tyler was the rep who did the inspection. Tyler went over with me the process and if I had any concerns which he should note. I told him it gets extremely cold in the basement & during the cold weather my heat goes on more frequently than it did previously. He actually took the time and explained all the assets of the dehumidifier. The person who installed the unit, did not go over everything with me.

Outside, he went over the areas of his findings. He understood I cancelled having the downspouts buried last year, due to my sprinkler system. He had a video showing me how PAS could fix cracks with poly level. He was patient with me as I wanted to thoroughly understand the necessity of having this done. After his video’s/drawing pictures showing I understood the process.

Overall, I felt Tyler did an exceptional job. He is very acknowledgeable, patient. You are lucky to have a dedicated technician! I hope next year he does my inspection again.
