Customer Reviews and Testimonials

Justin was very efficient, courteous knowledgeable. You should be very proud to have an employee like him.

Jessse was patient took time out to explain review surface and open to questions and concerns, informative.

Dean our tech was phenomenal, very informative and knowledgeable.

09/08/2026: Today marks another great Perma-Seal experience. Doro and his colleague (sorry I don’t remember the name) arrived, surveyed the job, asked and answered a few questions and then quickly and neatly made my walkway look brand new. The walkway is now safer and looks much better. The guys were professional, polite, and efficient. This company must train well! By the way, Justin (see below) helped me evaluate the need to have this work done during his visit. What I appreciate about both Justin and Doro is that neither tried to over-sale me on unneeded services or products, but they evaluate things and helped me to assess the urgency of future projects so that I can plan accordingly.

07/28/2026: This may be the first time I’m leaving a review before deciding to get any work done. Perma-Seal once again has delivered! I had a visit today from Justin Lohrer of Perma-Seal for a routine annual pump check. When he was done, I asked him to assess my concrete walkway which he did and prepared a proposal to lift two sections which will improve the safety and aesthetics of my front entryway. Justin also explained the entire process and never pressured me. He had already shown himself to be very knowledgeable and approachable. Then I happened to mention that during the last really heavy rain, water was bubbling out of one of my “French downspout drains.” Within seconds, Justin had determined which direction the drain was going, found where it went under the sidewalk, and began knocking on the lawn listening for a change in sound. A few minutes later, he had found the end which had been buried, excavated it, and cleared it out. Justin is a pro’s pro if there ever was one. Watching him work was like watching a surgeon perform surgery without breaking a sweat. This guy, Justin, absolutely pure gold! If Justin is not already training other guys (I’m sure he is), then I’d encourage you to make that part of his job because we need more professionals like Justin!

Christian Salgado answered all our questions and gave us an idea of what to accomplish next.

Whenever it rained I had water coming through a wall crack in the basement. I called for an estimate to seal the crack. Alejandro Lopez also checked the crawlspace and found another crack. After Permaseal finished the job, I never saw any water coming through after rain.

the maintenance was done thoroughly and neatly. the technician Alejandro Lopez is friendly and professional. in addition to the maintenance, Mr. Lopez made the appropriate suggestions regarding drainage upgrades that have since been addressed. Fine job. krp

Alejandro was professional, friendly and understanding.

Replaced backup pump battery quickly. Very pleasant person and kept me informed on what he did.

Alejandro was very courteous and clear about what he did during the project and answered all my questions patiently. He did not seem to be in a rush to leave when he completed the job he came for.He responded to my call later on when I had concerns about the driveway project and gave clear instructions to the team doing the work to ensure I was satisfied.Excellent employee of Permaseal.

Professional and informative

We had a representative come out to a property in Berwyn. We were very pleased with the service and the knowledge of the representative.
He was very informative regarding what would need to be done and was very patient with us.
We chose Perma Seal for their reputation and quality work.

Justin was fabulous! He did a great job and thoroughly explained the work he was doing.. More service techs should be like him.

Called to schedule for an estimate on a Saturday. Justin from Perma-Seal was here Monday. He texted me when he was on his way and waited till someone got home. He was running ahead of schedule. I wasn’t home at the time but he emailed the estimate. I took it right away. I called him and he took my 30 percent down and he couldn’t be nicer. Too many great reviews on this company and WGN Radio always talks about them with Lou Manfredini. I know it will be done right the first time with this company.

Justin was my main contact. He evaluated situation and made correct reco that work had to be done on the outside of the house due to location of crack behind fireplace stones. He thoroughly explained what needed to be done. He pushed Perma-seal to move me up on the schedule so as not to risk more rain causing additional water damage. Justin made himself available on the day of the project, even though he was not on-site doing the repair. I called Justin multiple times during the day of the repair. He always answered and was very patient and helpful. There was one point of confusion with me and the on-site team and I called Justin and he clarified everything very professionally. If I have a need for this type of work in the future, I will request Justin to evaluate the situation and make a recommendation. The that did the repair work were very professional as well. The only hiccup was I was informed by the on-site team right before the work started that the work would not be warranted. This was unexpected as I’ve worked with Perma-seal for years and never heard of this. Given the situation, I couldn’t risk not doing the work as heavy rain was forecast in the days after the job. I rated Perma-seal 4 stars out of 5 due to the no warranty situation.

Great job look forward to doing business with you again on 8 October

We have had alit of work done by PermaSeal. We are very pleased with everything they’ve done. Sometimes an energetic, knowledgeable and hard working tech stands out. Justin Lohrer is just that person. Very impressive young man.

I was a few weeks away from closing on one of my properties in Chicago when Alejandro Lopez came to my rescue! His professionalism and knowledge of my foundation crack gave me reassurance that contacting Perma-Seal was the right choice. Both times that he came out my issues were resolved. Thanks Alexandro your customer service was impeccable.

I called Perma Seal two weeks prior to closing on one of my properties in Chicago. Alejandro came out and saved the day, not once but twice before the closing. His professionalism and knowledge of what I was going through was a win-win for me. Both issues were repaired in a few days with no problems at all. I also was happy to know that the warranty on the repairs were transferrable to the new owner which was great to know if they were to have any problems. Thanks Alejandro you’re the best!!!

Alejandro Lopez was patient and experienced when he examined the water damage in my house. He gave me all the available options without sacrificing boundaries and with kindness.

Alejandro Lopez – who did a consultation for our sump pump was fabulous. Looked at the problem, diagnosed the problem and fixed the problem all in a timely manner without any upsell or “you need this.” Just straight to the point, very professional and fixed what needed fixing.

Last year we had Alejandro Lopez comes out to asses what we thoughts might be a problem wiht our drain tile which you all installed. He looked everything over and had some comments. We got back to our cotractor who determined the water was coming from a dripping sink and nothing was wrong with your drain tile system.

While we did not need any work from your company I greatly appreciated that Alejandro took the time to look at our home (quickly) and work wtih us to problem solve.

The work we would have done would have been on all of your dime but he treated us just like he would a “paying” customer.

Thank you

Great meeting with Daniel P. Today! So knowledgeable and friendly.

I met with Alejandro Lopez from Perma-Seal for a consultation after a power outage flooded my basement. It was already a stressful situation, so I really appreciated how kind, personable, and professional he was. Alejandro listened to my concerns, communicated clearly, and took the time to answer my questions without making me feel rushed or pressured. He made a stressful situation feel much more manageable and represented Perma-Seal extremely well. Based on my experience with Alejandro, I would feel confident recommending Perma-Seal to others. Great customer service can make all the difference, and he certainly made a positive impression.

Appreciate Michael’s transparency and honesty. Knowledgeable and not at all pushy. Can break things down simply.

Alejandro Lopez fully explained the new system and its operation in detail. He answered all my questions in depth. He was very knowledgeable and very patient with me as I am a very senior citizen. We agreed on the price of the system. He then installed the new system completely in a very short time. He has a very likable personality and made feel comfortable. Alejandro is a value to the Perma Seal company in my opinion. Thank you, Douglas Leone

Alejandro was a pleasure to work with

Alejandro was very professional and courteous. He arrived, took measurements, and then laid out a plan of action for us. So

Alejandro Lopez is what the definition of a pure hearted, reliable, professional, and good customer service should be. Even went out his way to help with and unexpected add on. Honestly he would be the only reason I would recommend Perma seal.

Help me out from start to finish. Even had extra work done and he made sure they did it beyond what I expected.

Alejandro was professional and knowledgeable.

Alejandro has excellent customer service skills. He took the time to explain everything clearly and was very helpful throughout the entire process. I really appreciated his patience and professionalism.

Your rep, Alejandro Lopez, has been wonderful to deal with. He is very attentive and is on top of all his incoming messages. I give him 5 stars and do not want to hurt how he is viewed. However; we hadn’t heard back from Perma-Seal or Andreas in some time. The job is still ongoing. We didn’t understand what the problem was. Ironically Perma-Seal came out today. So I guess the actual rating would be, Alejandro Lopez – 5. ⭐️ .. Perma-Seal – 3 ⭐️ .. I am Harold’s daughter. Erin Mcbride

Your employee Alejandro Lopez was polite and professional, he returned my calls promptly and answered all my questions. I would request him again if we need your services in the future.

I recently had Alejandro Lopez at my house to install a basement defender and pump. Extremely nice and knowledgeable person who answered all my questions. It was quickly and professionally done and I couldn’t ask for more. Thank you, Alejandro

Your rep Alejandro Lopez was knowledgeable and courteous. He explained everything from start to finish. Scheduled work to be done which was then completed to our satisfaction. Happy with results and would use you again.

Came up with a plain for the best way to drain the water from the back yard to the front yard. Project is still in the works since Village of Steger was dragging its feet on getting a permit to do the work.
