Known for its beautiful residences and teardown culture, Hinsdale in Illinois is a village that is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. It has a population of about 16,900 and is listed in the top 1% of wealthiest towns in the state.

But under the beautiful homes and rolling wooded, topography lies a secret that not even many homeowners know about – damp crawl spaces. Crawl spaces are a regular fixture in many homes, and if not crawl spaces then basements. But when the weather becomes wet, or sewer pipes back up, these underground spaces tend to get damp or  even severely flooded.
