STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS Foundation cracks in your house are not only unsightly, but can be a sign of structural damage. Serious damage to your home can result from a wide variety of soil problems. Seasonal and climatic changes also affect your home’s foundation. Don't wait for more costly damages to occur. Previously homeowners had few choices for repairing foundation walls, except to excavate around the wall and build a new basement. That solution is expensive, time consuming and destructive. Additionally, the problem can recur if the wall is not properly rebuilt or if steps are not taken to correct the causes of the initial deterioration. Signs that may indicate you have a structural problem:
The Grip-Tite® Foundation Piers and Wall Anchors utilize proven engineering methods to secure and stabilize settling foundations.
Foundation Settlement
First, we attach to your home's footing a series of Grip-Tite® Push Pier brackets of heavy, industrial-strength steel. Then, high-pressure equipment hydraulically drives rugged steel piers down to solid bedrock or proper load-bearing strata. Keep in mind that this reinforcement is done below ground, so nothing is exposed. Also, each pier is individually anchored and tested for successful load-bearing. Finally, the weight of your home is carefully transferred from unstable soil to rock-solid piers so your home or commercial building is secure with the pier system permanently in place and hidden from view. Basement Wall Problems
The system consists of an interior wall plate, an exterior soil anchor and a connecting steel rod to stabilize foundation walls by counteracting pressure exerted against the wall. The system is a property owner's alternative to completely removing and rebuilding basement walls that have become cracked, leaning or bowed as a result of pressures exceeding the allowable design capacity of the wall.
This technology has been used for many years in the Aero Space, Nautical/Marine and Aircraft industries. What To Do First The recommended first step for foundation repair work is to have a certified foundation repair contractor examine the situation. Obtaining a professional opinion on the causes and available solutions is a necessary step in securing your foundation walls. For more information or to request a free in home inspection CLICK HERE |
