Perma-Seal Basement Systems – Making a Difference to Homeowners Everywhere! Downers Grove, IL- (February 4, 2008) — What happens when you send a talented group of volunteers from Perma-Seal to make a difference? More than you could ever imagine! Perma-Seal Basement Systems joined forces with Global Hope, Inc. in their efforts to make a difference in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward. Back in April of 2007, several Global Hope board members visited New Orleans for Jazz Fest. While they were there they seized the opportunity to volunteer with Common Ground Relief and quickly realized the ongoing need for help in the area. Upon their return they immediately began planning a pilot service trip and sought business involvement. Very early in the planning stages Perma-Seal Basement Systems committed company resources and “adopted” a home. Their expertise and generosity transformed the endeavor from a pilot trip to a significant effort. Perma-Seal provided almost half of the volunteers, tools, materials and other significant resources. In just four days they repaired significant structural damage on two homes, replaced four roofs, water-proofed two homes, installed windows, fascia, soffits and re-engineered an unstable porch.
